OLD WORLD INSPIRED, UNMISTAKABLY WASHINGTON
At J. Bell Cellars we produce small lots of single varietals and blends with fruit from the Yakima Valley’s most acclaimed vineyards. We employ traditional cellar techniques, fermenting and aging in oak, unfined, unfiltered, and blended to bring you something truly incredible.
An intense rich purple color hints at the boldness of this wine. Harmonious and complex, the nose is ripe with the scents of blackberry and cassis with an underlying note of floral and vanilla. It fills the mouth with these fruity flavors and is complemented by cocoa, sweet tobacco, and vanilla all balanced with a juicy acidity. A balanced tannic finish with a pleasant linger of flavors in the mouth will have you coming back for more.
This full bodied wine hits the nose with tobacco and huckleberry, underlayed with an earthy herbaceousness. Full and fruity with black cherry, anise, and vanilla in a lingering tannic finish.
Our Walla Walla Syrah begins with blackberry, fruit leather, fig and peppery notes. Followed with deep flavors of plum and chocolate it wraps up with a smooth smokey finish.
Our favorite bordeaux style blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Merlot, Essence is back in the 2018 vintage. A fruit forward nose of raspberry, red current, and vanilla transitions to brightly jammy berry and plum with anise on the palate. Subtle oak and vanilla rounds out the finish.
This wine leads with a luscious red fruit forward nose with hints of pepper, slight floral fragrance and sweet dark cherries. Supple flavors of boysenberry, dried cranberry, savory spices and anise flood the palette, with a bright finish of lingering leather, graphite, and dried herbs.
Red Willow Vineyard
This Sangiovese is very lively up front, leading with notes of fruit and pepper. Light bodied and tart, there is a subtle earthiness through the middle of the palate, rounded off with a touch of tobacco.
This rich Rhone Varietal white is fermented and aged in French oak for 6 months on the lees. Beginning with a complex floral nose leading to a well-rounded note of honey, stone fruit, spice and roasted nuts.
Boushey Vineyard, Yakima Valley
This Grenache leads with dried strawberries, green peppercorns, and a hint of leather on the nose. Crushed by foot, with native fermentation and aged on lees for 24 months. 100% whole cluster. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, pure and unadulterated.

A blend of Grenache, Syrah & Mourvedre
The scents of autumn are showcased in this full bodied red with ripening fruit, earthy autumn leaves and a slight smokiness reminiscent of tobacco on the nose. This follows through with flavors that encompass the aspects of each varietal a smooth beginning from the Grenache, a full fruity middle of grilled plums and blackberry from the Syrah, and a spicy, earthy and mildly tannic finish from the Mourvèdre. Aging in French oak gives the wine light notes of oak throughout.
A bold example of Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon this wine leads with well-integrated oak notes, vanilla, raspberry, and a hint of white pepper on the nose. A full bodied and lingering mouthfeel with blackberry, blueberry and current flavors coming through on the palate followed by a smooth finish.
This appealing blush rosé embodies summer fruits and florals with lovely lush notes of strawberry, citrus, watermelon candy and rose petals on the nose. Less than 1% of residual sugar and perfectly balanced acidity gives this wine a pleasant smoothness and intensity on the palette. Flavors of wild strawberry, watermelon, orange zest and a floral undertone of honeysuckle linger in the mouth.
